City Dwelling: The Red Cat
I had the most delicious blueberry scone this morning at one of my favorite downtown coffee shops: The Red Cat. This was also home to Lydia and I’s Ruth study last spring, when I fell in love with their lattes. The staff there are pretty good coffee artists, see a pic of cat swirled in my cream here. One of my favorite aspects of this coffee shop, though, is the windows, which date back to when the building was used by Dr. Pepper as the bottling facility. They have great big huge old warehouse windows, and, being on the corner, the space is wrapped in light most of the year. Combined with the trees outside on the sidewalk, and the cozy sound of espresso being ground, it’s a pretty wonderful atmosphere.
